On first appearance, Midi is a simple traveler with a bad streak of luck when it comes to hotels. Being kicked out for various reasons, almost all of them not being her fault. However, upon getting to know her better, she has a pretty large secret she prefers to be spread to as few people as possible.
While Midi is indeed a traveler, she is also a sort of scout. Outside of her tendencies to travel, the woman known as "Midi" commandeers the Megalith-class capitol ship, the Arcadia, a multi-generation ship designed to bring people to new homes. What makes the ship unique is that it has a timeline projection device fitted onto it, meaning that firing it will briefly generate a portal to a timeline or alternate universe of the user's choosing.
As Midi travels, she searches for fitting homes that fit the needs of the passengers of the Arcadia. What makes Midi a natural choice for scouting is her Eternal abilities thanks to the advanced technology her home galaxy has given her. Her main one being the ability to transfer her consciousness to a cloned body of herself in the event of fatal injury or death. While she can leave most aspects of her life behind, such as her mercenary work and her notoriety of being a skilled pilot, abilities like this can't be forgotten to her.
While exploring, she takes various tests on the people on these alternate planets and galaxies to measure their trusting capacity. Often using her bad luck with hotels to her advantage, going out to find people willing to lend a room to Midi, testing the public's trusting with strangers. She also measures how safe the area is for her people. If a land is deemed unsafe in general, Midi considers the Safety test a failure and promptly returns to the Arcadia to test another Earth-like planet.
Once exploration has concluded, she switches to a diplomatic mode, approaching governments and the like to reveal her true identity and mission, and asks if she and her crew can have people immigrate, while also providing materials necessary to build people homes. Once approval has been made, Midi makes arrangements for the people that choose to live on the planet to be safely transported there.
Afterwards, Midi rejoins her crew and fire off the projection device to the next verse, where the process begins again.
Name: Midori Sato (Also known simply as "Midi" as a way to protect her true identity.)
Species: Eternal (Human that underwent extreme modifications to be born in new clone bodies upon death.)
Age: Appears to be in her early to mid 20s (Actual age unknown.)

Gender: Female / Hermaphrodite (Depends on what body she's in.)
Eternal Protocol: Upon recieving a fatal wound, Midi's Eternal Link activates, and her consciousness gets transported to a clone body ready to awaken on the Arcadia. Her previous body dissolves away along with personal effects to prevent her killer from knowing her true identity.
Eternal Enhancements: Due to being an Eternal, Midi has enhanced strength, agility, perception, and endurance, making her much stronger than the average human. She is also rendered immune to disease and illness. However, this comes at the cost of also being sterile, meaning she cannot have children.
Jump Clone: Sometimes, in order to more swiftly complete a mission, Midi sends multiple bodies. Though this is done rarely, and it's mostly used to swap between two different bodies. One being a standard female body, the other a hermaphrodite.
Copy Conscious: Midi can also call upon copies of herself to assist her with various tasks, mostly with battle. However, this comes at the cost of reduced motor skill, becoming more severe with additional copies.
Memento: Sometimes, Midi likes an area too much to just simply leave. Or she finds a loved one that she must leave behind for the sake of her mission. In such an event, Midi can make a copy of her conscious to stay behind in her current body, while her true consciousness returns to a new body on the Arcadia.
Original Body: As a precaution to the conversion process to an Eternal, Midi's original body is kept in pristine condition, locked away in a heavily guarded vault onboard the Arcadia. It looks radically different from what Midi looks like currently. Another big difference is that it is fertile, which allows Midi to have children.
